This Wednesday's wish list is a little unconventional...

I don't have a list this time because I have already used up all my wish entitlements. My little burmese kitty Tiki and I went to the vet this morning to get the fluid drained from around her lungs (she has heart disease), and it went really well- I was nervous because we had to change vets when we moved back to Sydney. She is now happily snoozing in the sun. On top of that, they charged me $45!! Previously I was paying between $200-600 a visit (not great when you're a PhD student with no money!). Seeing as we have to go to the vet at least once a month (plus buy medication), I can't tell you how much of a relief that is! I almost hugged the vet (but was trying to pretend to be a normal person, so I didn't).

ReplyDeleteI love hearing about beloved pets getting better. Puts a smile on my dial :)
ReplyDeleteWow only $45? Thats great. I know vets can be pretty expensive. My Sister's cat has a pretty expensive tab going. He never pays me back either. Your cat is adorable all curled up in a ball sleeping.
ReplyDeleteaw, cute kitty Tiki, glad thing went well :)
